Returning to Hockey
So I played hockey for the first time in, like, forever this morning. I've been concerned, since back in early August I stretched out some ligaments in my knee (playing hockey, of course). It was so bad that I even had to turn down the goalie position on the Xtreme hockey team. Since the injury, all I've done to keep in shape was nice, low-impact workouts (mostly, HIIT on the stationary bike).

I was impressed with myself on the ice, since I didn't collapse after five minutes of skating. I also had only three shots, only one of which actually hit the net. Yeah, goalies suck at shooting pucks.

Maybe next week or so I'll try playing goal. I'll try to work on my knee strength a bit more until then.

I'm certainly an introvert...until I actually get to know a person fairly well. Then I'm wild, as many of my friends know. But yeah, for the most part, I keep to myself.

Looking at the four other goalies I play with on a regular basis...one's an extrovert for sure. Fairly outspoken off the ice. On the ice, he's not afraid to yell at guys, slash them, or even use his stick to check if they're wearing a cup...

The other three are pretty quiet. Two other guys I know who play goal sometimes, defence other times...they're pretty outspoken as well. Of course, they're the guys you notice, you pay attention to. For those two guys, there could be four, six, eight other quiet defencemen.
