Two weeks ago, on The Goalie Store BB, a member posted a 40%-off promotion code for the Reebok store. I went browsing and snagged a RBK 5K C/A protector for a steal, $90USD + shipping (and seriously considered getting the glove and blocker too). The C/A is $250CAD in retail stores in Canada.

The online store only shipped to the USA, however. So, I shipped it to my sister, Dawn, in Boston. It's always nice to have a connection south of the border. I tried calling for permission before I placed the order, but nobody answered. Since this was the last one in stock, I bought it anyways.

It finally arrived Friday (after some FedEx mixups). Through email conversations, Dawn's inital plan was to bring it up in an empty suitcase during her Christmas visit. She'd then have an empty suitcase to fill full of gifts :P The C/A was larger than she expected (see below); so my brother-in-law, David, dropped it off at the post office Saturday. It should arrive late this week or early next week, I assume.

I'm glad David didn't get a tracking number when he shipped it to me...as soon as I got that FedEx tracking number from the RBK store, I was checking in every half-hour or so for status updates. It's quite addicting.
