Stefan's Sick Stickhandling Skills
No words can describe this:
I was at the game last night with my brother and dad. Half of Rexall stood up to leave as soon as Bergeron fanned on the pass to give Stefan the empty-net breakaway. I remember that, because I couldn't see over all the bodies to catch a glimpse of what happened.
All I remembered was laughter. Then people sitting down again. Then cheering. Then Hemsky owning Turco. Then Rexall going crazy. And then, five minutes of solid cheering during OT.
The shootout sucked, but whatever. I knew we'd lose that, since Dallas is one of the best teams in the league when it comes to shootouts. All I care is that we somehow got a point out of that mess of a game.
Also, Bergeron's tipped slapshot from the point that took Dallas goaltender Mike Smith out was totally awesome. Smith was in the butterfly and just fell straight backwards as the puck left a giant dent in the center bar of his mask.
All-in-all, a pretty damn good game, even though we lost.
